What a difference a decade makes! (this blog never got published for some reason way back when)

Happy New Year blog world! I saw the question posed at what point do you stop saying Happy New Year, well, I figure the first week it should be said because most folks are getting back to face to face interaction with others who they haven't seen whilst on vacation. At any rate, I'm digressing (already! ha ha) Man, 2010 is upon us, another year, I was thinking about the things of the past decade that stood out to me and here is an abridged list of sorts:

9/11 most definitely tops my list as the most unforgettable moment of the decade..

losing a niece and gaining a new nephew

lots of increase: spiritually, emotionally, financially.

bought and sold my 1st house, upgraded to my current "adult" house

President Obama

Rocky!!! I got him in 2003, it seems like he's been around forever

Hurricane Katrina

2 LSU football National Championships

Graduating from college a lot of times..

Getting my heart broken which aided to me being clinically depressed and suicidal and a borderline alcoholic/drug addict definitely had an impact on me this decade. I look in the mirror and can't believe I was "that" person. I now know my worth and have a greater sense of my purpose.

Economy basically crashing

Darfar situation

and I'm sure there are many many more events that can get to this list, welcome to 2010 folks, hope you're as optimistic about what this New Year has in store as I am.

Brown..out!
